Float trips are our most popular trip and for good reasons. Beginner anglers can easily learn the basics of fly fishing from the comfort of a drift boat. Advanced anglers appreciate the ability to cover many more “miles of mouths” than would typically be accessible to a wade fisherman in a day. Floating also allows access to fish through private properties that are un-accessible on foot. Generally our floats are on the colorful Colorado River, the mighty Roaring Fork River or the North Platte River near Casper, Wyoming. The Eagle River is also available seasonally. All floats are conducted in comfortable hard-bottom drift boats or when appropriate, inflatable fishing rafts.
Full day trips include freshly prepared gourmet lunches and typically include wild game such as quail, elk or pheasant. Lunches can also be added to half day trips for a nominal cost.

Word on the stream
Recently floated with Pete and the Trout Trickers team. I have been on many guided trips but nothing compares to Pete and his crew. Showed up in the morning at the designated area, the boat was in the water and the rods were ready to go. Didn’t have to wait for him to tie up the lines, everything was ready and off we went, Pete was constantly changing flies along the way, if fish weren’t being caught. If we found a good hole, he would back row so we could continue to catch fish. Lunches consisted of Quail, sausage, peppers and a hot apple/cookie dessert. Started fishing again in the afternoon, in which Pete continued to change out flies and back row, until we were catching fish again. Looking forward to our next trip with Trout Trickers. Amazing communication, fishing and service. Kind of unheard of today! Highly recommend!
