My passion for fly fishing began over 35 years ago growing up around the many lakes and rivers of Madison WI. In early 2000 I moved to Vail CO and have since then focused my attention on exploring and developing my knowledge of the local waters and the various fish and insect species that inhabit them. I love travel and adventure and fly fishing has taken me around the world to fish in some incredible locations, including New Zealand, Cuba, Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico. However my favorite thing to do is to fish and guide the local waters around the Eagle Valley as it offers endless fishing opportunities and adventures for all levels and half of the fun of fishing is the journey it takes you to get to the fish.   My favorite time to fish is nighttime, targeting trout with streamers and mice patterns. On my days off from guiding I am most likely found out of cell range finding new and challenging small creeks and streams to fish around the valley. While I love living in the Eagle Valley, I still spend my time trying to convince my girlfriend we need to visit her family in New Zealand:)
